What's everyone drinking for the New Years? Here is my lineup for my night of festivities and pulling people out of ditches, one so far.

In reality some good sippin whiskey isn't too bad since it takes a while to drink it, but my housemates are fiends

I'll be driving around all night, so I'll be sober. :(

But the driving part will be fun.

And the plan is to be home before all the drunks leave the bars and their parties, which will at least allow me to have a couple before beddie bye.

Ha! We live in a neighborhood with snow covered slick roads where 4x4 snow tires or chains are required and a lot of people don't see the sign or get stuck on a hill. Livens things up a bit

Well I've got one of these from Old Mecklenburg Brewing in Charlotte, NC - the guy does German style beers and this "Copper" is his brewing of the Dusseldorf-style Altbier...it's *great* stuff.

Right now I have some Big Eddy, and some 4 elf. I do like Uinta though. I really like Labyrinth, probably the blackerest beer I have ever seen. hits at like 14%, but hides it really well.

It is *really* good. I used to work for and travel to a Dusseldorf company 3-4 times a year; Olde Mecklenburg has nailed the Altbier. Right now only selling in the Charlotte NC area but are in the midst of a fairly significant expansion so hopefully that will change....
